PhD
I completed my PhD in pharmacology at the University of Sydney in 2020, including a six-month period at the University of Nottingham. My research project, with my supervisor Prof. Macdonald Christie, examined the molecular pharmacology of opioid ligands using in vitro signalling assays and in vivo assays of analgesia and side effects.
At the University of Nottingham, I performed further studies on the µ-opioid receptor under the supervision of Prof. Meritxell Canals in the exciting environment of the Centre of Membrane Proteins and Receptors.
Post-doc
I joined my current supervisor, Dr Scott Berry, as the initial member of the Berry group at University of New South Wales in 2022. Our group uses advanced and high-content imaging to study fundamental processes of the cell. We are situated within the Molecular Medicine department, and are part of both the EMBL Australia Node in Single Molecule Science, and the UNSW RNA Institute.
